Musical Theatre training with industry professionals for children age 4-18

At The JPA Academy, our skilled teachers have years of experience in the performing industry, with credits ranging from West End shows to TV and film. Our students learn from individuals who are passionate, creative and have real experience in their chosen fields.

We begin every student’s journey at The JPA Academy by building confidence. Whether a child is ‘born to be on the stage’, or is struggling to speak up for themselves, we nurture and develop each individual voice. Learning to express oneself is an important part of a child’s development. We inspire creative, intelligent, independent performers.

Our weekly sessions are packed full of fun, learning, building skills and making friends. Each group has a Drama, Singing and Dance class, all focussed on working together to build confidence and creativity.

Students at The JPA Academy work toward two shows a year! An amazing chance to perform on stage which is certainly a highlight for the cast and the proud audience.

Learn from a team with years of experience in the West End, TV and Film. Build confidence, make friends, be creative and have fun learning skills in Acting Singing and Dancing.

For your younger budding performers

We run Stage Sprogs. Here we follow the same ethos, but for 4-6 year olds (the sessions are a sprog friendly one and a half hours) using Drama, Singing and Dance to build confidence for their early years. Start their love of performing and show them the magic of musical theatre.

PROFESSIONAL TUTORS

All of the tutors at our theatre schools in Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells, have years of experience in the industry. We have performed on the West End stage, in Concerts, on Film and in Television. We are able to use all of our contacts in the theatre — agents, directors, choreographers and performers to give our students the best possible training to develop their skills.

SAFE ENVIRONMENT

At The JPA Academy children’s safety is paramount. All of our teachers are DBS checked, have full chaperone licences and are fully qualified, as well as having a wealth of professional experience. We are fully insured at all our venues and provide regular first aid training for our staff. Our children are free to be creative and confident in a safe, supportive and fun environment.

WEST END WORKSHOPS

We regularly invite our contacts in professional theatre, TV and film to come to The JPA Academy. Past theatre workshops include Mamma Mia!, Cats, Les Mis, Wicked, We Will Rock You, Little Shop of Horrors, Bugsy Malone and Mary Poppins. We have also recently added Acting for Camera, Audition Prep, Movie Making and Comedy Improvisation to our list of professional workshops.
