Teachers have found that our practical sessions inspire children to engage with content, communicate their ideas more effectively and focus for longer periods of time.
Lots of the class teachers have used our exercises and techniques back in the classroom to help learners find new ways to engage and participate in their work
Our sessions are based in Drama and Voice. We ensure every child has the opportunity to develop their communication skills and build confidence. They are all practical and inclusive. All we need is a large space and a class of learners!
Confidence & Voice
In this workshop, we address the worries of the children surrounding communicating their ideas, and public speaking. Through voice warm ups and based on rehearsal techniques, we allow the learners to explore the idea that their own unique voice is valuable. In groups and as a whole class, we explore the ways we can find our individual strengths and the confidence to speak up in the best way for ourselves. We explore pace, intonation, physicality, and the value of the pause to help the group create the tools to feel comfortable expressing themselves in front of others
Characterisation & Story
Here, your learners will practically explore how to create and communicate a character. We cover stock characters, status and states of tension. Learning about empathy, different perspectives and the physicality of a character will benefit every learner. These sessions can be specific to a SOW or topic, or can be a great way to support creative writing and literacy.
Drama Workshop
Unleash the creativity and imagination of your learners as we build their confidence through drama. We use drama games and improvisation techniques to help children work together and see their ideas come to life. We’ll work on devising, and communication. We use the time to inspire the learners to express themselves and support each other.
Each session lasts for around an hour and can fit in around your timetable.
